Everton keep the pressure up!

Everton survived a second half scare to beat Blackburn Rovers 4-2 and close the gap on leaders Arsenal to three points in the National Division.

The Toffees were playing their first league game for six weeks but made a flying start as Emily Westwood gave them the lead in the opening minute. Blackburn replied quickly with Katie Anderton equalising on 15 minutes and a surprise looked to be on its way as Natalie Preston put Blackburn in front early in the second.

However goals in quick succession from Michelle Evans and Natasha Dowie turned matters around in Everton's favour and they went on to seal the victory in injury time when Dowie netted her second goal.
